Siena Moon is a multi-disciplinary circus artist specializing in aerial acrobatics, fire/object manipulation, hula hoop, stilt walking, mermaiding, and living statue work. After falling in love with hula hooping at a music festival a decade ago, Siena dove head first into circus training and spent the next several years establishing herself as a fire performer on the Northeast music festival circuit as a solo act. She spent two years studying aerial rope, fabric, and hoop, as well as physical theater, dance, ensemble work and tumbling in the Professional Preparatory Program at Esh Circus Arts and graduated from the program in May 2017. Siena has dazzled crowds internationally as a solo artist and in collaboration with the Boston Circus Guild and Boston Hoop Troop. From 2015-2018, she co-organized, choreographed group ensembles, and performed in the Incineration Congregation fire conclave performances that were each seen by over 80,000 people at Burning Man in the Nevada desert. Siena is a member of the Boston Circus Guild Board of Directors and Chair of the BCG Production Committee. She co-produced BCG's popular Halloween circus production, Cirque of the Dead, in 2017 and 2018. Siena holds flame effects operator licenses in the states of New Hampshire and New York and has completed extensive training as a fire and life safety professional. Siena seeks to inspire audience members to explore the act of play and find empowerment through radical self-expression, artistic liberation, and movement! |
